Step by step Bursa…
Despite going through many fires and earthquakes, Bursa hosts many holy, historical and natural landmarks. Despite being south of the city, Uludağ is like our northern star; we find our direction by it, and track season changes with colour changes on its façade. Every door you see while strolling in the city streets invites you to another bit of history … You’ll travel through time with centuries old traditions of craftsmen... Sometimes you’ll be chasing odours from linden trees, or some soft southwest breeze…
You may get used to the bright green of the mountain striding the city on a spring day, and you may yearn for this colour of peace wherever you go. Because Bursa is a very spiritual city... Bursa is a mother city... That city will give birth to you all over again, fill you with its spirituality, heal you with its spring waters...
After all, Bursa is made of love...
Location:
Bursa is located in northwestern Turkey, in the south part of the Marmara Region. Its borders/neighbours are the Marmara Sea and Yalova province in the north, Kocaeli and Sakarya provinces in the northeast, Bilecik province in the east, Kütahya and Balıkesir provinces in the south, and Balıkesir province again in the west. The city centre, leaning back to Uludağ in the south and stretching out all the way to the Marmara Sea in the north, is developing and expanding towards the west.
