Aim of the workshop
The aim of this workshop is to present theoretical aspects of germination and vigour testing (testing procedures, seed and seedling evaluation, quality assurance aspects) and practical application on different tests and species.
Workshop content
The workshop will consist of lectures and practical exercises. It will offer the opportunity for general discussion on germination and vigour testing, as well as for specific questions regarding testing procedures. A specific focus will be done on the control of the temperature specifications and on the incidence of the light used, especially during germination tests.
The ISTA Rules and the ISTA Handbooks will be discussed and used during the workshop.

The participation fee includes all literature and supporting material for the workshop, lunches, coffee breaks and workshop official dinner. It does not include accommodation or meals other than those specified.
The number of participants is a minimum of 25 and restricted to a maximum of 30 participants.
Registration and payment deadline is 3 November 2025
Please note:
For cancellations made before 3 November 2025 registration fees are refundable minus a 50 USD administration fee.
For cancellations made after 3 November2025 registration fees are non-refundable.
Accomodation recommendations
Guests may book directly with the hotel and will be responsible for payment of their own room, taxes and incidentals.
