Aim of the workshop
The workshop aims to offer both theoretical and practical training for analysts in seed testing laboratories, enhancing their skills in performing Germination and Tetrazolium tests as part of their daily tasks.
Workshop content
The workshop will focus on Germination and Tetrazolium testing across various crops, conducted in accordance with current ISTA Rules. Participants will learn the principles, methodologies, and practical applications of these tests, including hands-on sessions for setting up and analysing Germination tests and conducting Tetrazolium tests to assess seed viability. The training will also cover crop-specific challenges and compliance with ISTA standards, ensuring attendees are equipped to perform accurate and reliable seed testing in their laboratories.
Species included in the Workshop are: Allium cepa, Bromus catharticus, Coriandrum sativum, Helianthus annuus, Hordeum vulgare subsp. vulgare, Trifolium subterraneum, Zea mays.
The language will be English.

The participation fee includes all literature and supporting material for the workshop, lunches and coffee breaks, excursion, workshop dinner and transfer between the workshop venue and hotels (except airport transfer). It does not include accommodation or meals other than those specified.
The number of participants is for a minimum of 20 and restricted to a maximum of 30 participants.
If you would like to attend the workshop please fill in the registration form. An invoice will be sent to you, which has to be paid before the participation confirmation will be generated.

Please note:
For cancellations made before September 30, 2024 registration fees are refundable minus a 50 Euro administration fee.
For cancellations made after September 30, 2024 registration fees are non-refundable.
