The aim of this joint ISTA-ISSS webinar is to showcase how cutting-edge research in seed biology drives practical advances in agriculture.

This session will feature talks on:

- Understanding the physiological basis of secondary dormancy in corn: Exploring how environmental and physiological factors induce secondary dormancy, affecting seed germination and crop establishment.

- Decoding seed biology through single-cell 'omics: Highlighting how single-cell technologies unravel the complex molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying seed development, dormancy, and germination.

Together, these presentations will connect fundamental laboratory discoveries with innovations in seed production, illustrating their impact on crop performance and agricultural sustainability.
