Aim of the workshop:

The workshop deals with the topics of Viability and Germination of 7 crops and offers the theoretical background as well as intensive hands on training.
The different information of the test results of germination and viability testing will be shown up, to enable seed testers to interpret the test results of a seed lot factually correct and to inform the customers adequate.
The quality management based use of ISTA methods in the seed testing laboratory is an integral part of the workshop.  


Workshop content:

The workshop offers possibility for discussion of the germination methods, the practical evaluation of seedlings as well as the preparation and evaluation of seeds for their viability with Tetrazolium salt.
Both methods were worked out in a comparative way with agricultural crops: Glycine, Oryza, Brassica, Helianthus and vegetable crops: Capsicum, Allium, Solanum.
Special aspect is given to the characteristics showing non-viability in tetrazolium and abnormalities in germination testing.

Participation Fee:  

The number of participants is for a minimum of 20 and restricted to a maximum of 20 participants.

ISTA Non-Members: 750 EUR

Note: The participation fee includes all literature and supporting material for the workshop, lunches and coffee breaks, excursion, workshop dinner and transfer between the workshop venue and hotels (except airport transfer).
It does not include accommodation or meals other than those specified.

If you would like to attend the workshop please fill in the registration form. An invoice will be sent to you, which has to be paid before the participation confirmation will be generated. Please indicate any dietary requirements during registration. 
All payments are required prior to the 15th November 2017 in EUR and payable to ISTA.

For cancellations made before 10 December 2017 registration fees are refundable less 50 Euro administration fee.   
For cancellations made after 10 December 2017 registration fees are non-refundable
