The purpose of this handbook is to assist seed processors as well as seed testers when handling seed after harvest. Seed cleaning is a mechanical process. On the basis of the various seed species it is attempted to separate undesirable seeds and other components from the harvested lot with the least possible loss of pure seed. Unfortunately, it is easier said than done. This handbook makes available worldwide the expert knowledge and experience of specialists. This certainly is an important step in uniforming seed testing throughout the world for the benefit of seed traders and farmers.
