The ISTA Accreditation Department and the Saskatoon Laboratory of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency invite you to their workshop on quality assurance in seed testing.

This workshop will appeal to seed analysts working in laboratories or laboratory leaders that have a quality assurance system implemented. The aim is to give laboratories the opportunity to discuss and obtain inspiration on how to improve their Quality Assurance system and benefit from it.

The International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) and Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) Seed Testing Laboratory (KEDL0100), Nakuru, Kenya are organising a workshop on Germination, Tetrazolium, Sampling and Statistics to be held in Nakuru from 22^nd to 26^th November 2010.

The workshop will be engaging for seed samplers and laboratory managers who have to monitor seed sampling and want a quality assurance system and quality checks in place in their daily work.
The objective of the workshop is to enhance information in relation to seed sampling, seed testing and statistics and to provide the participants with tools how to implement quality checks and benefit from them. The lectures are based on the ISTA Accreditation Standard, ISTA Rules and Handbooks.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together seed experts from public and private seed sector to get new ideas and to share experiences in the workshop’s topical fields. The workshop will cover lectures and/or practical work on Germination, Tetrazolium, Sampling and Statistics.

The National ISTA Designated Authority of Japan is delighted to be hosting the next ISTA Annual Meeting and would like to cordially invite you to Japan.

The ISTA Annual Meeting provides the opportunity to meet other seed experts and to exchange experiences. The aim of the meeting is to discuss and decide on proposals for changes to the ISTA International Rules for Seed Testing, and business items of the Association, with the international participation of ISTA delegates and representatives from both the seed industry and governments, including experts in seed technology, scientific research and laboratory accreditation.
