Effective date
Most additional or replacement pages have been issued with an 'effective from' date of 1st January, 2007. If the text on a replacement page did not change it retains the previous 'effective from' date. Vertical lines on the edges of pages mark changes to text between different 'effective from' dates. For amendments to the seed health method sheet 7-019 only, the 'effective from' date was 1st July, 2006. The ISTA Executive Committee approved this 'effective from' date as the corrections to 7-019 may affect test results and therefore needed to come into effect immediately. The web version of the method sheet was also amended in July 2006.
Details of changes
The 2007 changes are editorial corrections, or rules changes voted through at the Ordinary Meeting, Glattbrugg/Zurich, in 2006. Some minor formatting and/or editorial changes discussed at the meeting have not been issued as replacement pages but are being 'saved' for the next major re-print. A list of pages that have been replaced and/or amended follows (see Preface-2 and Preface-3). A new method for seed health testing for the Annexe to Chapter 7 is published in a separate binder of the International Rules for Seed Testing.
For the recent history of amendments to the Rules see the Prefaces for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The Rules, Annexes and Appendices taken together form the International Rules for Seed Testing.
