Effective date
Additional or replacement pages have been issued with effective from date of 1st January, 2006. If the text on a replacement page did not change it retains the previous 'effective from date'. Changes to text between different 'effective from' dates are marked by vertical lines on the edges of text. Due to the process of approving the document Principles and Conditions for Laboratory Accreditation under the performance based approach by the ISTA Executive Committee, the effective from date of Chapter 8 is 1st February 2006.
Details of changes
The 2006 changes are editorial corrections, or rules changes voted through at the Ordinary Meeting, Bangkok, in 2005. Some minor formatting and/or editorial changes discussed at the meeting have not been issued as replacement pages but are being 'saved' for the next major re-print. A list of pages that have been replaced and/or amended follows (see Preface-2 and Preface-3). A new method for seed health testing for the Annexe to Chapter 7 is published in a separate binder of the International Rules for Seed Testing.
For the recent history of amendments to the Rules see the Prefaces for 2003, 2004 and 2005. The Rules, Annexes and Appendices taken together form the International Rules for Seed Testing.
