GMO Methods Database of the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the EU Commission Analytical methods (PCR and protein-based assays) for the detection and quantification of GMO can be found searching the "GMO Methods Database" of the Joint Research Center of the EU Commission. The database has been designed to allow direct and user-friendly access to information regarding methods of GMO analysis. The data reported in this database have been published in peer review journals or in reports from collaborative studies that are available in the public domain.

GMO Detection Method Database This database of GMO detection methods is a part of the Shanghai GMO platform and is set up by the GMO Detection Laboratory in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The aim is to provide detailed information of GMO detection methods and information of gene insert.

Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) of the EU Commission Another interesting site is maintained by the Community Reference Laboratory of the EU Commission. It contains Description of the validation process, minimum performance requirements, status of the dossiers for the validation of different methods. It also contains methods submitted under the provision of Art. 47 of Regulation EC 1829/2003.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) The ISO Standard methods for the detection of genetically modified organisms and derived products (published or at some stage under development) can be found in the internet site of the International Organization for Standardization. Put in the search window "genetically modified organisms", choose as option "standards" and then press "go".
