Activity Report of the Flower Seed Testing Committee 2006-2007
Publications:
In the past 5 years the main issue of the ISTA FSC work is the work concerning the 1st edition of an ISTA Flower Seed Testing Handbook. During last winter with the help of Bettina Kahlert from the ISTA Secretariat we completed the final editing work on the first part of this Handbook. It means that the basic chapters and the first 20 work sheets of the Handbook are finalized: Ageratum, Aster, Bellis, Callistephus, Calendula, Centaurea, Coreopsis, Cosmos, Dahlia, Gaillardia, Gazania, Helichrysum, Rudbeckia, Tagetes, Zinnia, Impatiens, Dianthus, Cyclamen, Petunia, Viola. (You can see the ad in the ISTA Publications and Products Catalogue.) Meanwhile the committee members went on with the next 5 work sheets. The next work sheets were finalized in 2006: Antirrhinum, Celosia, Salvia, Thunbergia and Verbena.
The drafts are presently under preparation for Gypsophila, Portulaca, Tropaeolum and Eschschlozia
Workshops and seminars:
We organize a flower seed testing comprehensive workshop in Italy for June, 2007.
Proficiency test:
In the next 3 year programme a proficiency round is planned for 2008: Portulaca PUR, GER.
